Yesterday, right after three months from the Great East Japan Disaster on March 11th, nationwide anti-nuclear protests were held in Japan.
Of course, there are many people who are not against nuclear plant, too.
The reason is roughly as follows:
1. Drastic electricity shortage will have impact on domestic industry in present and in future all over Japan. This will reflect to the people as increasing of unemployment.
2. Number of deaths by traffic accident is about ten thousands per year and lung cancer is sixty thousand in Japan. If comparing by number of deaths, cars and smoking are overwhelming danger.
3. People are just following the mood that other people are following too. Their attitude will change, when the impact of disaster are decreasing in two or three years.
